La Mata, Torrevieja
You can access the beach from Avenida de los Europeos and various points along the promenade. Available services vary depending on the section and the season. Before swimming, check the flag and the lifeguards' instructions.
Accessibility
La Mata Norte beach has an adapted area and assisted bathing service from June 15th to September 15th, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Prior appointment is required by calling 670 563 022, and the service is only available when the green flag is displayed. La Mata Sur beach does not offer this assisted bathing service.
What you will find
The Playa de La Mata beach stretches for approximately 2.3 kilometers. It features swimming areas, beach bars, sunbed rentals, and spaces for games and beach sports. It is divided into La Mata Norte, next to the town center, and La Mata Sur, near the dune area of Molino del Agua.
